Workshop Content
Introduction and Overview – Get an overview of the business impact of IAM and discover the IAM Conceptual Model, its capabilities, and major functions. Put your knowledge to the test by mapping out your institution with a hands-on exercise in IAM sketch.
Enterprise Registry – Learn about Enterprise Registry and how it fits into the IAM Conceptual Model. You’ll learn about its components, protocols, and schemas. Continue adding detail to your map with a hands-on exercise in IAM sketch.
SSO & Federation (Authentication) – Learn about SSO & Federation and how it fits into the IAM Conceptual Model. You’ll learn about its components, protocols, and multi-factor authentication. Continue adding detail to your map with a hands-on exercise in IAM sketch.
Groups & Access Policy (Authorization) – Learn about Group and Access Policy and how it fits into the IAM Conceptual Model. You’ll learn about its components, RBAC and ABAC, and the concept of Zero Trust. Continue adding detail to your map with a hands-on exercise in IAM sketch.
Provisioning – Learn about Provisioning and how it fits into the IAM Conceptual Model. You’ll learn about its components, functioning, and deprovisioning. Continue adding detail to your map with a hands-on exercise in IAM sketch.
Putting It All Together – Bring all the pieces together and take a look at the big picture. You’ll learn about future considerations and how IAM and security intersect. Complete the final assessment and submit your IAM Sketch exercise.
