Launched in June 2021, the InCommon Catalyst Program supports higher education institutions, research organizations, and sponsored partners in their efforts to enable better security, access to services, and user experience through InCommon’s integrated service and software solutions.
We’re pleased to welcome Moran Technology Consulting (MTC) to the program as the newest InCommon Catalyst. The MTC team brings 17 years of research and education (R&E) expertise delivering identity and access management (IAM) assessments, strategic planning, roadmaps, platform selection, and implementation services.
MTC’s IAM assessment framework builds upon international security standards and InCommon’s Trusted Access Platform reference architecture. The MTC team has worked with dozens of R&E organizations to assess and improve their IAM programs, including IAM governance, operations, business processes, architecture, and technology.
“Our aim is to be trusted and expert advisors to IT leadership in research and education. I can’t think of a better way to expand our knowledge and continually increase our IAM skills than collaborating with InCommon, the other Catalysts, and of course the many participating universities, colleges, and research institutions that form this community,” said Scott Weyandt, vice president of information security at Moran Technology Consulting.
