We’re excited that Internet2 will once again host Mobility Day in conjunction with the 2024 Internet2 Technology Exchange, from December 9-13, in Boston, Massachusetts. Please mark your calendars for Monday, December 9, 1-4:30 p.m., and plan to attend as a participant or presenter.
Review the agenda from last year’s Mobility Day for a sample of the types of content you can expect, including the latest updates from the eduroam-US Advisory Committee and working groups. You may be familiar with the annual Mobility Day that takes place at TNC each year. We’ve taken inspiration from this event and plan to offer similar programming in conjunction with TechEX24. We need your contributions to make it happen.

Session formats can include: (1) presentations (30 min. slot including Q&A), (2) panels (45 min. slot including discussion and Q&A), and (3) lightning talks (5 min., no Q&A).
Topics you might consider include:
- eduroam
- Cloud RADIUS
- Municipal WiFi for education
- OpenRoaming

Submit proposals here by 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 11, 2024. Once we receive your proposal, the eduroam-US Mobility Day planning team will review it and notify speakers by October 18.
If you have any questions, please reach out. We hope you’ll join us for Mobility Day as a presenter or participant. See you in December!
About the eduroam-US Advisory Committee
To facilitate stronger and more responsive engagement with the eduroam community, Internet2 sought out knowledgeable, motivated volunteers to form the eduroam Advisory Committee. The eduroam-US Advisory Committee (“eAC”) is intended to be an advisory body to the Internet2 Community Architecture Committee for Trust and Identity (CACTI). Its role is to help formulate strategies and practices for US and global research and education roaming networks, report any findings, and make recommendations to CACTI and Internet2. The eAC meets regularly as well as creating working groups as needed. You can view the committee’s charter, learn more about its mission, and view publicly available meeting minutes on its wiki page.
