I am pleased to announce that Jessica Coltrin and Romy Bolton have joined the Internet2 staff to help out with the InCommon Trusted Access Platform, eduroam and InCommon Certificate Service.

Jessica Coltrin has joined us as the InCommon Advocacy Program Manager and will be working on making our community work more transparent, findable, and scalable as well as helping new people connect in.

Prior to joining Internet2, Jessica was the Associate Director for IAM, Middleware, and Databases at Portland State University. There she built an IAM program as the lead architect & manager for PSU’s suite of custom-developed, open source, and vendor-provided IAM tools, and she managed the ERP infrastructure and DevOps team. Prior to PSU, Jessica was the Program Manager for the community source Kuali Rice project which provided the middleware and development framework for the Kuali applications. Throughout her career she has advocated for community collaboration and open standards with a strong affinity for education and the people behind the technology.

Romy Bolton is our new project manager. Prior to joining Internet2, Romy was the Director of Custom Solutions and Integrations in ITS at the University of Iowa. She has 20+ years of experience in cost recovery application development, project management and process improvement. In her most recent role, Romy managed 30 developers in technologies such as .NET, Java, Drupal, PHP, Angular, React and mobile development in Kotlin and Swift.

With Romy’s arrival, our current project manager Erin Murtha will devote her time to developing the InCommon Academy, a greatly expanded education, training, and adoption program. This move supports our commitment to the community to expand such opportunities.

Please join me in welcoming Jessica and Romy!
